Mittens, in August?! Yes, indeed, mittens in August because before you know it, it's October and folks are already starting to think about cool weather and holiday gifts. While these beautiful mittens are knit from a bulky yarn, it still takes time to make a pair. There's the knitting, the washing, the blocking (the pieces are pinned after they are blotted with a thick towel), the drying (his may take 24 hours or more) and finally, the part I like the least - sewing in the ends. All this effort, but they sure are worth it and we'll have these packaged and ready for the shows this fall in seven different colors.
