A Wedding Gift in the Making

A Wedding Gift in the Making

I started my business because I was often asked by folks whether they could pay me to make something for them.  I still enjoy making things for sale, but I really do just love making things for other people, which is one of the reasons I've slowed down a bit with production and focus on some special items.

This is one of two gifts on mu needles for friends.  It's a throw that will be a wedding gift for good friends.   The goal is to finish for Fourth of July weekend, which is when the wedding is.  Meet Edelweiss by Pam Allen.  I am knitting it in Lorna's Laces Sport Mate in the colorway Avondale.  This yarn is a glorious blend of scrumptiously soft superwash merino and silky smooth Outlast viscose, a smart-fiber that interacts with your body's microclimate and regulates temperature. This high-tech fiber is used by the likes of NASA and Ferrari.  Even better - it's machine washable!  I selected this with Amanda when I was at last year's TNNA (yes, I've been planning this for quite some time).

I'm about one quarter of the way there, so I have to get those needles clicking!
